Summary:
The first of two EVOs for "A Scanner Darkly" works fine, like most VC-1
EVOs with mplayer. The second one has a problem with -demuxer lavf,
outputting the error message:
LAVF_check: no clue about this gibberish!
Without -demuxer lavf the VC-1 decodes and displays properly (though,
without the EAC3 sound of course).
Below are three verbose mplayer outputs; the first for the part 1 EVO
which works properly, the 2nd for the part 2 EVO which fails, and the
3rd for the part 2 EVO without the -demuxer lavf flag which displays
VC-1 properly but without sound.
I've uploaded a sample of the 2nd EVO
