[MPlayer-users] Apply filter on a part of a frame

Hi,
I'd like to know if it's possible to use mplayer (and mencoder) with a filter only active for a specific part of the video.
To be more precise, I would like to have a blur effect for example in a 1 minute video like this: -vf-add unsharp=l13x13:-1.5
but only:
- at a specific time of the video, let's say from second 15 to 20 of the video
- at a specific location on the screen, let's say a rectangle in the middle: 50x50 pixels at 50 pixels from the top and 50 pixels from the left
Is it possible directly with mplayer and how? If not, anyone has an idea on how to do this? Avisynth seems to be a solution but will not be as "universal" as mencoder...

Thanks in advance.

Laurent
