[MPlayer-users] mplayer priority for the cpu

Dear All,

I like listening dvb-t radio when working on the pc, mplayer is my
favourite because of the quality and the low resources needed.

But when the cpu has to work very hard, mplayer makes hiccups, in
extreme situations even loosing the stream.

I've tried to do a "sudo renice -20 pid", but that makes it only
worse: constant hiccups!

Any sollutions?
