[MPlayer-users] Slow next video

Hi!
I'm using Mplayer SVN-r1.0~rc3+svn20090426-4.3.3 in Ubuntu 10.04 Jaunty 
and tried several other releases and linux versions.
The problem is that I have a playlist of videos and I have to jump 
between those videos.
When I install Ubuntu in a virtual machine with Ubuntu/mplayer, I get a 
really good performance. The main problem begins when everything is 
installed on my hardware. The main platform is a Ion based Zotac system. 
Nvidia-current driver with vdpau is installed and used. Decoding works 
without a problem.
But as soon as I press next video (<>) it takes about 2 seconds to 
switch between those videos. The simulation in my virtual machine looks 
like seeking, near to none time to switch to the next video. I tried to 
install Ubuntu as well as Mandriva on my workstation (uses NVidia too) 
and get nearly the same results.
I tried nearly every parameter, the simulation / VM just needs -fixed-vo 
and nothing else...
Any hint where the problem could be would be appreciated!
