Most of them play what appears to be the movie.  So I'm trying to dump 
the menu structure.  There are tools that let me build a menu structure 
so it has to be known.  I can't find any tool that would read the dvd 
menu and dump it.

so it looks as though I need to be able to dump the contents of the dvd.

vstrip sounds promising, but it's 8 years old so something tells me that 
there must be a more modern replacement.
