Hello.
It's rather difficult to make google keyword out of the issue for a
non-English speaker like me, thus even though I am sure someone else
encountered this before but still have to post to ask.
My mplayer on iBook G4 (1GHz) with Ubuntu 10.10 and radeon xorg driver
(a Radeon Mobility card) output video in a strange 'flipped' manner for
any video output except x11, including gl, sdl, xvidix and a few others.
The video output look as if you divide vertically the video to 50 equal
vertical bars, and flip each vertical bars by a mirror (not by a
seascape), i.e. flip left-to-right. So what I see is about 50 mirrored
pieces. It is not always 50 pieces, I guess it vary from 20 pieces to
100 pieces depending on the video output chosen, but the number of
pieces wouldn't change if I switch to full screen mode.
The problem is so wired that I don't know where to start to look for a
solution. I tried the same video on my other computer to make sure they
look bad only on this particular machine.
Best.
