Is this reproducible with ffplay?
If yes, please either open a ticket or at least provide a sample so 
I can open the ticket. Given the rate of patches in FFmpeg, this is 
possible (or even likely) to get fixed.

Given the patch rate in MPlayer, this is far less likely.
(Although it may be trivial, but this is difficult to say, 
see above and my first mail in this thread.)
