I really don't know.  I'm not a video professional.  I'm only trying
to do simple things: Captures, edit, encode.  My captures occur
in yuv422 pixels, so I thought it made sense to use 422 pixels
for all steps: Inverse Telecine, Editing, MPEG4 encoding.  But if
the MPEG4 encoding step can only create YUV420 pixels, or if no
video player can handle MPEG4 files with YUV422 pixels, then it
makes no sense for me to do the IVTC, Editing and MPEG-encoding
in YUV422.  So that's the answer or advice I'm trying to learn.
