If it would help this is the lastest windows build I have with a broken 
(later commit) libdvdcss if you have access to windows: 
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mplayerwin/files/MPlayer-MEncoder/r37342/ 
but this one has 1b4e3f9 specifically: 
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mplayerwin/files/MPlayer-MEncoder/r37325/

I tried two different Windows 7 computers and neither worked, maybe it 
went unreported since November because out of the people who download it 
that play DVDs from the drive I was the only one to try. I can't imagine 
it is magically working for everyone else.
