Oh, I missed that you just treated it like speex.
That actually causes a bit of a difference with header handling.
I wonder which is the most correct behaviour.
My variant doesn't discard anything, causing the FFmpeg decode to
complain as it gets metadata packets (I guess).
However the speex approach feels too simplistic to me.
Not sure what the correct behaviour would be.
