[MPlayer-users] copying elapsed time to clipboard

Hello,

Does anyone have suggestions on how  to copy the current time position
(elapsed time) to the clipboard?  Ideally, I would assign this process to a
keypress, to allowing me to enter time codes as I transcribe audio for
work. Is this possible in mplayer? If not, any suggestions for work-arounds
would be much appreciated.
