Yes I'm aware of that but the main reason is that I'm freeing the resource.
It's quite nice to use only the tv card when capturing.

I've tried that. I'm getting some 'glitches' in the resulting avi. I'll have
to get a better antenna at home. It seems that a good signal is cruisal when
running on a 1GHz AMD. I'm living 'in the dark woods' of Sweden and don't
have cable TV. ( And no cable internet either :( )
Does anyone have some good setting for recording TV shows (PAL) ? The main
issue is filtering which I'm sort of newbie to. I've been using the
deinterlace ( lb ) option only until now.
