I'm encountering a strange situation. I have my workstation and my
laptop, both of which have DVD drives. I received Fellowship of the Ring
extended edition in a gift exchange. Brought it home, started it under
mplayer, and got the following:

[defiant /usr/local/src/video/dvd_disc_20000215]# mplayer -dvd 1
Using GNU internationalization

Took the same DVD, put it in the laptop, and was able to play it just
fine.

On the workstation, I am able to play other DVDs, including the oritinal
release of Fellowship. The only differences is that defiant (the
workstation) is running the deb of mplayer-k6 0.90rc2-0.1 from
marillat.free.fr, while mekong (the laptop) is running mplayer 0.90pre7.

Any ideas?
