[MPlayer-users] DVD subtitles strange problem

Hello everybody. I have some strange behaviour from mplayer on a DVD:
subtitles appear randomly completely black... It seems that this
behaviour changes when relaunching (same options, same file); one try
out of three, subtitles are OK (white outline) but most of the time
they're just plain black...

Mencoder has the same problem, except I couldn't have the subtitles
right after trying 5 times :)

Has anybody encountered this problem ? I tried playing with -font and
-ffactor, but it doesn't change anything.

I'm using mplayer 0.90rc4 build with gcc 2.95-3 on a Slackware 8.1
distro.
