[MPlayer-users] the image/movie flickers

i have installed mplayer-gui on my system [AMD-k6 400Mhz, 125MBram, S3 Trio3d
4MB... Redhat 7.3], with apt-get from
http://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/pub/linux/greysector/mplayer/ repository,
but wenn i play a movie [from the hdd not from cd] the image flickers
and i get this message in background/console
   ************************************************

   ************************************************
i have tried another vo, only xv and x11 works, the xv is the default
i think and with x11 its in slowmotion. If i try -ao null then i dont get

but the image still flickers
can you pls  help me out so that i can whatch a movie at work :>
