Evil or not, it works quite well in some situations.  That it doesn't
work with libmpeg2 is unfortunate.

With lowres=1 the picture isn't too bad, though I still prefer it just
to be jumpy in certain places (-hardframedrop), rather than lower-res
thoughout.

With 2 or 3, the picture is absolutely horrible...  Worms all over the
place, barely able to dicern a picture (using 1.0pre6)
