Hey,

the Quicktime specs say that both exist:

kSoundNotCompressed 'NONE' Sound is not compressed
k8BitOffsetBinaryFormat 'raw ' Samples are stored
                               uncompressed, in offset-binary
format (values range from 0 to
255; 128 is silence). These are
                               stored as 8-bit offset binaries.

Unfortunately this doesn't tell us anything about the byte order to
sample sizes > 8 bit.

unconstitutional too, since clearly it de-emphasizes the commercial
nature of normal human interaction, and probably is a major impediment
to the commercial growth of prostitution. - Linus Torvalds
