about the remnaming. i think its possobile to get output like
myscreenshot00001.jpg

look in the man page for options to place after -vo jpeg.
i am almost 100% its possible cuz i remeber taking about 5000 frames
in that format to make gifs. i am sure it it can be done but i don't
think you can eliminate the 0001. try to find an option that can let
you decide the number of cahrachters.
