[MPlayer-users] mencoder question

You might also try modifying mplayer's caching parameter so it reads
ahead further in the stream while playing...  I'm not sure how much
mplayer caches (if any) by default.

mplayer -vo xv -cache 8096 filename.mkv

for instance...
