[MPlayer-users] xv and sdl do not work in high resolution

Both work, but both are slow except for very small resolution videos.

The videocard is off-board, so it cannot get more RAM. I've lowered
the depth to 16, but no change. I'll try 15 when I get back at home.

Essentially, the problem is lack of video memory, then?
